🏕️ Pack 527 Family Camp – Adapt and Overcome! ⚜️

Well, this weekend didn't go quite as planned! 😅 (but let's be real, they never do!)

With the hurricane throwing us a curveball, our original group of 60 campers dropped to just 6 overnight campers, with another 15 joining us for the day!

But that's what Scouting is all about — being prepared, adapting, and making the best of whatever comes our way! 💪

We scaled things back, rolled with the changes, and still managed to have a great time together!

Judging by how thoroughly exhausted the kids are, we'd call that a successful camping trip! 😂🏕️

Sometimes the best adventures aren't the ones you planned!

💪🥦 Pack 527 Gets Moving with Physical Fitness! 🥦💪

Today our Scouts learned that being healthy is about more than just exercise — it’s about taking care of our whole selves! 🐾

We kicked things off with some fun physical fitness activities, getting our hearts pumping and putting our teamwork skills to the test. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Then we turned our attention to healthy eating! Our Scouts worked together to build a healthy plate, learning about making nutritious choices and how different foods help fuel our bodies. 🍎🥕🥗

And of course, we couldn’t just talk about healthy food… we had to cook it! 👩‍🍳🔥 The Scouts got hands-on experience preparing a healthy meal and, hopefully, discovered that nutritious food can be delicious AND fun to make!

It was a day full of movement, teamwork, learning, and lots of fun — and our Scouts were fantastic! ⭐

Here’s to building healthy habits, strong bodies, and confident Scouts one adventure at a time! 💛💙

🐾⭐ What an INCREDIBLE start to the Scouting year for Pack 527! ⭐🐾

Today we kicked off our first Cub Scout meeting with our Bobcat Adventure, and our Scouts absolutely knocked it out of the park! 🎉

We started with a fantastic opening ceremony, with our AOLs stepping up as leaders and helping guide our younger Scouts. Throughout the meeting, Scouts from every level had the opportunity to learn, grow, and work on skills appropriate for their adventure. 💛

Together, we learned about the Scout Oath and Scout Law, then put our teamwork and skills to the test with a fun relay race and beanbag toss! 🏃‍♂️ The Scouts brought the energy, cheered each other on, and did an incredible job!

After celebrating our awards, we had the honor of presenting our AOL Scouts with their very own knives — something they earned by demonstrating the skills, responsibility, and knowledge they've worked so hard to develop. Watching them reach this milestone and take another step toward becoming confident young leaders is something we're incredibly proud of.

What a way to start the year! We can't wait to see where this adventure takes us!

Come out and support our Cub scouts this Sunday, August 16 at Sam's Club FWB from 10am until 5pm.

What a great way to wrap up our summer! 🎬🍿

Today, Pack 527 gathered at St. Simon's on the Sound for Movie Day, where we enjoyed watching WALL•E together. It was the perfect way to finish an awesome summer of adventures, service, and fun.

A special thank you to Regal Santa Rosa for their incredibly generous donation of real movie theater popcorn! 🍿 It made the day extra special for our Scouts and families, and we truly appreciate your support of our Pack and our community.

We're also excited to celebrate 12 of our Scouts, who have already earned their first award of the new Cub Scout season—the Summertime Fun Elective! 🏅 Congratulations to each of them for staying active and involved all summer long.

Now... who's ready for another year of Scouting adventures? ⚜️

We will be assisting in assembling blessing bags filled with essential hygiene items to help members of our community in need. It's a great opportunity for our Scouts to put the Scout Oath and Law into action through service.

Please note: Our movie night has moved from Suds N Cinema to St. Simon's on the Sound due to an unexpected double booking at the theater. We're grateful to St. Simon's for hosting us and are looking forward to a fun afternoon together!

We hope to see all of our Pack 527 families at these final summer events as we get ready for another amazing year of Cub Scouting!
