Happy Feet Ball Planning in Full Swing!

Our Executive Committee gathered yesterday to continue planning another unforgettable Happy Feet Ball. A special thank you to The Hidden Chapter Bookstore for so generously opening their space to us each month and supporting our mission. We are grateful for your hospitality and partnership! 💚👟✨

✨ Member Spotlight ✨

Meet Erin Eckstein, one of our newest members of CGNKY! 💙

Erin joined to get involved for a great cause while connecting with other women in the community — and we’re so happy to have her!

A full-time mom of three boys, Erin loves spending time outdoors with her family hiking, exploring new parks, trying local ice cream spots, and traveling. She also enjoys decorating, shopping, reading, and creating Montessori activities for children. 🛝☕🍦

Some of her favorite local spots include trying new coffee shops, Comal, Thai restaurants, and discovering new playgrounds and parks around NKY.

If Erin gave a TED Talk, it would be called: “Montessori from the Start.” ✨

Welcome Erin! We’re excited to have you as part of the Guild family.

May Chapter Meeting Highlights ✨👟

A huge congratulations to Elizabeth Hogan, our Golden Shoe of the Month! 👏

This month we also hosted a Favorite Things Party and it was such a hit! Everyone brought 3 of their favorite things, we drew names from a bowl, and each person gifted one of their favorite items to the names they picked. Such a fun way to connect, share favorites, and celebrate together!

Grateful for this group and another great meeting! 💚

April Chapter Meeting Recap 🌸

This month we made meaningful progress together reviewing and officially passing all proposed bylaw revisions as a chapter.

We also mixed and mingled with a bingo icebreaker that brought new and returning members together 💛

👟 2026 Impact Update:
161 pairs of shoes distributed so far
21 pairs provided to our community partners

A special shoutout to our Golden Shoe Award winners Alexis, Melissa, and Amy for their support of our March shoe drive!

We wrapped the night by kicking off Happy Feet ball planning, breaking into teams, and getting the momentum started for an exciting event ahead!

Yesterday was all about smiles and new shoes! 😁👟

We helped 52 local kids find the perfect fit so they can feel confident and comfortable at school—ready to learn and succeed.

March has been an amazing month of giving back, and we’re so grateful to support our community. 💚

Making strides together 👟💚

Today, we partnered with The Care Closet - The Care Closet to provide 31 pairs of shoes to children in our community. We are so grateful for the chance to make an impact—one step at a time.

Help us welcome our newest Charities Guild members! 💚🍀

Thanks to the support of our guild, we purchased 28 pairs of shoes in February for students at 6 of our partner schools and community organizations. One step closer to helping every child walk with confidence.

In Kentucky, 1 in 5 children are living in poverty, and in Northern Kentucky, the need is even greater.

For more than 40 years, Charities Guild of Northern Kentucky has been dedicated to improving the lives of local students by providing brand new shoes to children in underserved areas. Because when basic needs are met, brighter futures begin.
