In 1982, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital showed their appreciation for the contributions made by the Fraternal Order of Eagles by honoring our organization with a plaque. A few years later, in 1985, the F.O.E. became the first organization to top $1 million in donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

As most of you know, we closed the doors for the last time on the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Comanche Aerie 3220 last Thursday, August 23, 2024. It just so happened to be our 60th year Anniversary. That night when I read our local newspaper, they had posted a picture in “Looking Back” of some of our members celebrating the 30th year of the Eagles. Lot of tears were shed.

It is so sad that our Lodge was shut down by Grand due to members not attending the meetings for both the men and women.
The Faternal Order of Eagles is a great organization raising money for our charities and local people that needed assistance. I have been a member 51 years and will miss seeing all my friends and members I have met over the years.

It is with a heavy heart that I deliver the sad news of the surrendering of our charter to grand representative. We tried hard, but it seems that it was too much for us to overcome if y’all are members you are members everywhere. Do not throw your cards away. They are still good to get you into other aeries. Thank you everyone for all your efforts.
