Light it up BLUE" Stewart/HAAF Apr

Light it up BLUE" Stewart/HAAF Apr We parents of Fort Stewart and HAAF, GA are planning on lighting the bases up in Blue every year in April. Raising awareness about Autism 1 day at a time!

In March 2014 we parents who have children and loved ones with Autism asked the appropriate leaders if they would help us "Light it up Blue" in the month of April for Autism Awareness month. Our request was approved! All the pictures on the site currently are from myself and other parents in the surrounding community's lighting it up blue at there homes, and buildings around the Stewart/HAAF bases

. Request for "Light it up Blue" 2015 has been approved. I personally asked for Building 1 to be added this coming year. (Approved) YAY! Other buildings and structures from both bases will be added in addition to what was done earlier this year. Currently I will be posting links to better help you on your journey, share updates going on that may effect you or your children with insurance coverage, share local events that support autism, meetings, school forums, anything i find of importance when it comes to autism. Will update page about "Light it up blue 2015" as much as possible. About 6 months left to make it happen! Stay Tuned

Teach

Kindness is something we teach.
Inclusion is something we model.

The way our children treat others… starts with us.

Teach them to be kind.
Teach them to include.
Teach them that differences are not something to avoid β€”
but something to understand.

Because every child deserves to feel accepted, valued,
and never left out. πŸ’™

April is Autism Awareness Month. πŸ’™

For many families, awareness is not just a month β€” it’s a lifelong journey of understanding, patience, advocacy, and love.

This April, wear blue to show support, spread kindness, and help create a world where autistic individuals are understood, respected, and valued.
