Join us Thursday, June 19th at 10:00 am at our Red Cross Hinesville office on hwy 84 ( across from McDonald's and next to the gas station by Rodeo's). We will be creating a garden, sending out volunteers to help senior citizens shop at goodwill, recording a "happy song" video with SCAD students. It will be an exciting time so come on out!!! You're welcome to bring everyone you know!! See you there!!

Want to get involved with the Red Cross? There's an app for that! Today, we launched the Team Red Cross App, which allows people to sign up to help, get an overview on basic tasks, and receive notifications about Red Cross disaster volunteer opportunities in their community.

The annual end-of-summer youth volunteer appreciation ceremony will be held on 1 August at 2:00 pm. Please be there by 1:45 pm. It will be held at Stewart Lanes Bowling Center, 439 LIndquist Road, Bldg 450 (next to Burger King). Pizza, drinks, cake and shoe rental will be included. Dress attire is volunteer t-shirt and name tag. Don't forget socks! To RSVP, please contact us at 912-767-2197 or at [email protected].

Just a friendly reminder, please input your hours into Volunteer Connection and VMIS. Tracking your hours at your volunteer site alone is not enough. We need these hours in order to present you with the correct certificate. This is imperative if you are using these summer hours to fulfill any high school graduation requirement.

Relay For Life was a big success thanks to all the volunteers both adult and teen for contributing their time and energy into this event. I must admit that the team leader job was very fun! Thanks once again.
