This year marks the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, and the 9/11 Remembrance Run is returning to its roots at Fort Stewart, where this meaningful tradition began years ago.

Join us on September 11 at Cottrell Field for a 1K, 3K, or 5K run/walk as we honor the heroes, remember the lives lost, and stand together as a community.

The Marne Firefighters Association is proud to officially launch the 5th Annual MFFA Classic Charity Golf Tournament!

📍 Savannah Harbor Golf Club

🏌️ Registration & Putting Contest: 10:00 AM

This year we're taking the MFFA Classic to another level, with a goal of filling the course with 36 teams for an incredible day of golf, fellowship, competition, and giving back.

Proceeds from this year's tournament will benefit Bananas Foster, the official nonprofit of Banana Ball, celebrating, educating, and inspiring the foster care community.

Your $150 entry includes golf, cart, range access, catered dinner, on-course drinks, contests, awards, prizes, and plenty more throughout the day.

Not a golfer? There are still plenty of ways to be part of it. We're looking for Community Partners, raffle and prize donations, volunteers, and businesses that want to get involved and support a great cause.

This week, the Marne Firefighters Association stopped by Fort Stewart/HAAF Fire Station #4 to present a $1,500 donation to the Honor Mark 5K.

MFFA is proud to support a great cause that continues to honor the life, service, and legacy of an exceptional firefighter.

Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising efforts and helped make this donation possible. This is what our association is all about: supporting our fire service family, giving back to our community, and remembering those who came before us.

🏆 MEMBER RECOGNITION 🏆

The Marne Firefighters Association would like to recognize two of our members for their outstanding accomplishments this past week.

Inspector Corey Bates was named the FY2025 Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield Garrison Award of Excellence overall winner for Category I. Corey earned this opportunity after winning one of the FY2025 quarterly awards and advancing to compete for the annual honor. This recognition reflects his continued professionalism, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

We also congratulate Sergeant Shmar Christian on completing the U.S. Army Basic Leader Course. This intensive three-week course develops essential leadership skills, including communication, decision-making, team building, training management, and leading others in demanding environments.

Congratulations to Corey and Shmar on these well-earned accomplishments. Your commitment to professional growth and excellence reflects great credit upon yourselves, our organization, and the Marne Firefighters Association.
