Dylan's Closet Providing free clothing for children & adults in need within the River Valley. In Dylan's memory, one garment at a time.

In honor of a beloved son, brother, grandson and nephew; Dylan James Evans who left this world unexpectedly too soon at the age of seven, in September 2014 from bacterial meningitis. His loss was devastating to the family but each day we try to learn from that loss and cope with healing by helping others. Clothing those in need, one garment at a time.

We were honored to help so many local families prepare for the new school year through our 11th Annual Dylan’s Closet Back-to-School Clothing Giveaway, providing free clothing, shoes, socks, and select school supplies to families in our community.

What many people don’t see are the months of planning, countless hours of organizing, sorting, moving racks, setting up, and prayers that happen long before the first family walks through our doors. By the time today arrived, we were tired, but our hearts were full of excitement and gratitude.

Then the doors opened.

We watched children excitedly pick out outfits they couldn’t wait to wear to school, saw parents breathe a little easier knowing one less burden was on their shoulders, and witnessed volunteers serving with joyful hearts as our community came together for a mission built on love, compassion, and kindness.

Everything we do is in Dylan’s memory, and moments like these are why our hearts are so full. Seeing his legacy continue through every smile, every hug, every pair of shoes, every backpack, and every act of kindness shared is the greatest gift we could ask for.

130 Families were served today and we had more volunteers this year than ever before! God is faithful. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, prayed, shared our event, and supported Dylan’s Closet. Because of you, families were reminded they are seen, supported, valued, and loved.

As we pack up and reflect on another successful giveaway, we leave feeling exhausted, humbled, and overwhelmingly grateful. God continues to provide exactly what is needed, and we are thankful He allows us to be a small part of His work as we honor Dylan’s memory. ❤️🎒📚

📢 TODAY IS THE DAY! Our Annual Back-to-School Clothing Giveaway is here! 🎒👕👖👟

We’re excited to provide FREE clothing, socks, shoes, and select school supplies to help local families prepare for the upcoming school year.

🗓️ When: Saturday, August 1, 2026
⏰ Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Where: 4401 Windsor Drive • Fort Smith, AR
🗒️ First come, first served.

While you wait, our community partner Healing Hands will be providing hot dogs and water for attendees. 🌭💧 We appreciate their support in helping make today’s event a little more comfortable for our families.

⚠️ Event Rules Reminder:

• Children must be present (no exceptions) and accompanied by an adult.
• Large bags and backpacks are not permitted inside the building. You will be asked to return these items to your vehicle before entering. Failure to comply may result in being denied entry.
• No pets are allowed, especially inside the building.
• Please do not park on the grass or lawn anywhere on the grounds. Use available parking spaces only.
• Help us keep the area clean by using the trash bins provided.
• To ensure every family has a fair opportunity to shop, please follow the allotted time limit and the instructions of our volunteers.

While we reserve the right to refuse service when necessary, you can help prevent that by following these rules and treating our volunteers, security personnel, and fellow attendees with kindness and respect.
