It's Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Unfortunately, we have learned more than we ever wanted to know about Ovarian Cancer because our best friend has it. It's brutal and it's tried hard to take her out. She's been strong and is a fighter, but she's getting tired. We are so happy to have Shelly Sexton-Pollock as one of our newest CASAs!! Shelly brought to Sebastian County CASA- her experience as a child advocate while in Texas and was ready and willing to advocate for those in need. Shelly has a heart of gold and is already serving ten children after just five months of joining our team. And she is close to finishing her first case with a successful reunification.

Thank you, Shelly for your perseverance, diligence and the time you dedicate to your CASA kiddos!!

Back to School means more eyes on children - and often more hotline calls. Just think about this: Fort Smith has 15 elementary schools alone🤯that's not counting middle schools and high schools. We serve all of Sebastian County.
