Paws of Love Animal Rescue AR We are a small foster based rescue located in the Fort Smith Arkansas area. We do not have a physical shelter location.

Our mission is to rescue homeless pets, assist pet owners in need to keep their pets home and to educate pet owners on the necessity of spaying and neutering to help curb the pet overpopulation crisis.  Located in Fort Smith, Arkansas, but willing to transport to fosters in Northwest Arkansas, and within an hour of Fort Smith locally.

We just received a message about a puppy who desperately needs our help. ❤️ She was dumped on Highway 282 in Rudy, AR (Crawford County)and we received a message from the lady whose porch she decided to start sleeping under. She has covered with ticks and fleas and has hair missing. She’s hot and hungry and will not allow herself to be touched yet. She is estimated to be between two and three months old. If you are missing this baby, please contact us.

We WANT to help her, but we need our community to help us make it possible.

There are two things we need right now:

🐾 About $95 to get her vetting started.
She will need the same basic care as the puppy we just rescued — and I’ll show you that bill so you can see exactly what that care costs.

🏡 A foster home willing to help her learn that people are good.
This sweet puppy needs someone patient and loving who can give her a safe place to decompress, build trust, and learn what it feels like to be cared for.

We are doing everything we can over here. We keep saying yes to puppies who need us because we believe they deserve a chance. But the reality is, we cannot continue paying these veterinary bills out of our own personal bank accounts every week.

We need help from the community we are working so hard to serve and support. If you can donate toward her $95 in initial vetting, foster her, or even share this post, you are helping us save her.

Located in Fort Smith, AR. Will transport.

Mira’s story is one we wish were different.

She was just six weeks old when a woman took her in with the intention of adopting her. That woman had previously been a foster for us, so we trusted that Mira was going to a loving, forever home.

Unfortunately, when she separated from her significant other, she left—and Mira was left behind.

Mira came back into our care when she was just a few months old. She is now 21 months old, and we are absolutely heartbroken that she is still waiting for the family she deserves.

💔 She did nothing wrong. None of this was her fault.

Mira is a typical hound girl—full of personality, funny, curious, and sometimes wonderfully stubborn. But underneath that hound-dog charm is the sweetest, most loving heart. She deserves someone who will see her as family and make a lifelong commitment to her.

We desperately want to find Mira her forever home before she celebrates her second birthday. She has spent far too much of her young life waiting for someone to choose her.

And honestly, we feel like we are failing her. We know she deserves so much more than this.

So today, we are asking for your help. 🙏

These two adorable 5½-month-old pups are siblings to the five puppies featured in our previous post. ❤️

The black-and-white pup is a male, and the all-black pup is a female. Both are looking for loving foster homes where they can feel safe, get lots of attention, and continue growing into happy, healthy dogs. 🐶

We’ll make fostering easy! We provide the food, crate, supplies, and everything you need to care for them. We will also cover all of their medical expenses while they are in foster care.

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED! 🚨

Located in Evening Shade, AR but can be transported.

We really need your help! This sweet momma and her 5 lab mix puppies need a safe place to go RIGHT NOW. 🐾❤️ Their owner has severe breathing issues and is unable to care for them. They are inside dogs and have received the best care the owner could provide. He also has an older litter of 5 month old pups and the dad who also needs a foster. Mom and Dad are nervous with people but friendly.

The good news is that they already have a plan to be transported out of state once the puppies have received 2 rounds of vaccinations, so this would only be a temporary foster situation — approximately a month or so.

We don’t currently have a foster lined up, but we truly believe there is someone out there who can open their heart and home to this little family and help get them through this short period. 🙏

Located in Van Buren but we can transport.

We’ve been asked to help this sweet 6-month-old Pit puppy find a safe place to land. ❤️

The person who found him has been caring for him, but unfortunately, she cannot keep him. She wants to do the right thing and make sure he finds a loving home — and we want to help her make that happen!

Right now, we desperately need a foster so this little guy has somewhere safe and secure to go while we work on finding his forever family.

Sweet Magara was diagnosed with heartworms may of this year and has gone through most of her treatment but she has a couple months of preventative treatments left and then will need to be retested to see if she is negative and ready for adoption!

Her current foster is unfortunately likely to be moving soon and will not be able to take her along so she needs someone to take her in that will be able to give her the love she deserves until it’s time to find her forever family, or who knows her foster might just fall in love with her, if you would like to know more about Magara please send us a message :)

🚨 URGENT: FOSTERS NEEDED FOR 2 DUMPED DOGS 🚨

The dogs are located in Mountain Home and no other rescue in their area is able to help due to some urgent hoarding situations. They are dealing with there. We are located in Fort Smith, Arkansas and can transport them.

These two dogs were dumped in a rural area and desperately need somewhere safe to go. They have been killing chickens, and the livestock guardian dog on the property is understandably very unhappy about their presence.

⚠️ The situation is becoming dangerous. Neighbors have threatened to shoot the dogs if they continue killing chickens. We need to get them out of this area AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

🐾 Older dog: The finder believes he is a Heeler mix, approximately 1 year old. One photo shows him with his full black coat, and another was taken after he had to be shaved because of severe matting. He has been neutered.

🐾 Little red dog: Younger and believed to be a Lab mix.

If you do not have chickens or livestock and have a safe place where you could foster one of these dogs, please contact us. Even a temporary foster could literally save their lives.

🙏 Please share this post widely. We need safe fosters, and we need them quickly. These dogs deserve a chance before something tragic happens.

We don’t usually duplicate our posts, but we are going to have to here because we made a mistake and we still need help. We mistakenly listed needing help picking up a lab puppy in Little Rock. She is staying with the finder’s brother in Harrison and that’s where we need to pick her up from. She needs to be picked up tomorrow and brought to Pocola. Please message if you can help. We will provide gas money.

🚨 URGENT: Experienced Bottle Feeder Needed 🚨

We’ve been contacted about six very small kittens who were found alone inside a vacant house. No mom could be located, so the finder has brought the kittens to their home to keep them safe.

💔 One of the kittens appears to have a broken leg and will need medical attention.

All six kittens are extremely young and need to be bottle fed around the clock. Unfortunately, we cannot take these kittens into our care unless we have an experienced bottle feeder available to help.

If you have experience caring for neonatal kittens and can help with bottle feeding, please contact us as soon as possible.

These little ones need help urgently. 🐾❤️ Please share to help us find the experienced foster they need.
