Thank you to RRCU’s local team for connecting with Next Step and encouraging us to apply for the RRCU Gives Grant. We were thrilled to be selected for a $5000 grant and lunch for our staff yesterday. RRCU is a non profit financial cooperative. Their grant program’s mission is building Stronger communities, empowered nonprofits and lasting impact. Thank you for supporting our program and granting funds for our Friday food bag program for our unsheltered clients.

We are in need of adult men’s boxers and briefs and women’s briefs to give to clients in our day shelter. New underwear only please. Socks are not needed. They can be dropped off at our day shelter Monday -Friday 8-2:30 at 123 N 6th Street, Fort Smith.

Congratulations to our Assistant Director, Sara Gray, for passing her Association of Social Work Master’s level Boards. Sara does an excellent job working with our clients, staff and social work interns. Passing her licensure exam the first time is something to be very proud of and we are very happy for Sara. Well done!

Exciting progress is happening everyday at The Next Step Neighborhood construction site. We are grateful for the partners, supporters and community members who are helping us make this tiny-home community a reality.
