Solidarity Has No Boundaries.

This week, leadership from USW Local 9452 (Fort Smith), UAW Local 723 (Monroe), and USW Local 8339 (Jackson) came together in Monroe, Michigan, to share ideas, discuss common challenges, and strengthen the bonds between our locals.

Whether we’re represented by the United Steelworkers or the United Auto Workers, our mission is the same—to fight for the hardworking men and women who keep our mills operating every day.

These meetings are about more than exchanging ideas. They’re about building relationships, learning from each other’s experiences, and standing shoulder to shoulder in support of working families. The stronger our communication and cooperation become, the stronger our unions become.

A special thank you to UAW Local 723 for hosting us and opening your doors. Your hospitality and willingness to share knowledge made this a productive and meaningful gathering.

When labor organizations work together, we all become better equipped to protect our members, improve contracts, and ensure working people receive the respect, wages, benefits, and workplace they deserve.

Today we recognize and honor the fathers of USW Local 9452 who walk through the gates of the steel mill every day with one purpose in mind — providing for their families.

The long hours, shift work, holidays missed, and sacrifices made often go unseen, but the impact you have at home is immeasurable. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment help build not only steel, but strong families and strong communities.

To every dad, grandpa, stepdad, and father figure in Local 9452 — thank you for the example you set and the sacrifices you make. Your family is proud of you, and so are your Brothers and Sisters of the United Steelworkers.

2nd Annual USW 9452 Scholarship presentation was a success!! Great group of graduates and proud we could help them start their journey!!

Please keep one of our brothers and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. His son-in-law, Officer Newman with the Fort Smith Police Department, was seriously injured in the line of duty.

A fundraiser softball tournament is being organized to help support Officer Newman and his family as they face the road ahead. If you can, please share this post and help spread the word. Every prayer, share, and act of support means a lot right now.
