River Valley Regional Food Bank

River Valley Regional Food Bank The food bank distributes food to approximately 140 partner agencies across 8 River Valley counties. Not only is hunger unacceptable, hunger hurts!

Of course, we all know about hunger pains, they certainly hurt. But when people go hungry because rent, utilities, medicine and even car expenses come first, hunger takes a physical and emotional toll. Hunger even hurts has an economic impact as inconsistent food intake affects productivity, absenteeism and punctuality. The River Valley Regional Food Bank (RVRFB), a charitable organization, is bas

ed in Fort Smith, Ark., and works to alleviate hunger by acquiring and distributing food to people in need. The RVRFB distributes food to approximately 166 nonprofit food pantries, senior centers, youth shelters and other agencies throughout an eight-county region in west central Arkansas. The food bank distributes more than 22 million pounds of food each year. It is one of 200 national food banks that make up the Feeding America network, and one of Arkansasโ€™s six food banks that are connected through the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance. The food bank is a program of the Crawford-Sebastian Community Development Council. Learn more at www.rvrfoodbank.org

๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŽ‰ Making a Difference for Children in Our Community ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’™

We are excited to celebrate one of our incredible partner agencies and the impact they recently made through their Childrenโ€™s Exclusive Grocery Giveaway!

Thanks to the dedication of volunteers, donors, community partners, and supporters, 479 children received groceries through this special event. Thatโ€™s 479 young lives touched by the generosity and compassion of a community that cares. โค๏ธ

This outreach is a wonderful example of what can happen when people come together with a shared goal of serving others. We are grateful for partner agencies like Paris Christian Center Church that work tirelessly to meet the needs of children and families throughout their community.

Please join us in congratulating them on a successful event and thanking everyone who helped make it possible. Together, we are creating stronger, healthier communities and ensuring that more children have access to the food they need to thrive. ๐Ÿฅซ๐Ÿค

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. Today, we reflect with gratitude on the freedoms we enjoy because of their sacrifice.

From all of us at the River Valley Regional Food Bank, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.
