Helping those in need

Unlike most organizations Earthbound Angels didn’t start off as a vision. We weren’t an idea lying on the floor waiting for someone to breathe life into it. EBA came about simply by people telling their supervisor the reason they weren’t making it to work or performing to the expected requirements. Leaders that cared took the time to listen to the people and found they had needs that could not be met without help. People stepped forward unofficially and started helping strangers, coworkers, friends and neighbors. It didn't matter where they came from, where they lived, their income or their status in the community. If they had a need and we had a means to help them to fulfill that need ,we did everything we could to meet the need. This continued for 2 years. As life often happens a song came on the radio titled “ Do Something” by Matthew West. A powerful song to stop you in your tracks in this busy life. At the same time this song was discovered, the founder of Earthbound Angels could not sleep for about 2 weeks. Two weeks into the sleepless nights the idea came straight from the heavens to become an official non-profit. This idea went to a circle of friends on social media and they all eagerly jumped in with both feet. Paperwork was done, fees sent in and the state requirements satisfied along with the IRS. A process that can take 6 month to a year was completed in less than 3 weeks and Earthbound Angels was born. We went from helping our community from a garage and a 10x18ft building, to an abandoned warehouse that now houses the HOPE campus, to a converted liquor store and are now seeking a warehouse or shop for a $0 rent lease so that we can continue the mission we started officially 3 years ago March 9th. We’ve gone from helping the homeless and employees to helping our entire communities with a focus on children and babies. We hold a special reverence for our men and women who served our country and now need our country to serve them. We assist anyone we can with whatever donations we have to give. Our focus will always remain on our most vulnerable citizens, our children. They did not ask to be born into a world to struggle and it truly takes a village to raise our children.

What can you do for Earthbound Angels? Hold fundraisers as we are not funded by churches, endowments or grants. Resources in the area refer clients to us and we operate off of donated items from our friends, family members of this community and family back in Texas. We purchase our diapers and wipes unless we can get our local businesses to hold diaper drives so their employees can take part in our mission. You can hold fundraisers, bake sales and drawings or silent auctions on our behalf. We have diaper collection boxes we can deliver to you. We desperately need a building to operate out of so if anyone has a connection we’d appreciate the contact information. We serve Sebastian and the 7 surrounding counties in Arkansas as well as Sequoyah and Leflore Counties in Oklahoma.
