Chickpeas are a great source of protein and fiber! For a quick side dish or snack, use one 12 oz can of chickpeas. Drain and dry them, then toss with 2 tbsp olive oil, salt, pepper, and your favorite seasonings. Roast the chickpeas on a baking sheet for 30-40 minutes at 450° F and enjoy!

Praying for our Child care workers! For the last few weeks, Early Childhood Educators across the country went to work where they interact with children of other essential workers who could be exposed to COVID-19. They will not be given face masks or protective clothing. They won't get free coffee, half price pizza or special shopping hours. They will perform their jobs in ways they have never done before and they will do it with a smile on their faces so that the children in their care don't know how scared they are; for their school family and scared of being responsible for taking the virus home to loved ones.

Thank you to all of our proud early childhood educators. You are essential! Thanks to you our amazing doctors, nurses and first responders have somewhere for their children to go as they work on the front lines of this pandemic. You too are heroes!

Paycheck Protection Program

The $2 trillion coronavirus relief package signed into law last week, officially known as the CARES Act, includes nearly $350 billion for a federal small business loan program called the Paycheck Protection Program. If all employees are kept on payroll for eight weeks, the Small Business Administration (SBA) will forgive the portion of the loans used for payroll, rent, mortgage interest, or utilities. Up to 100 percent of the loan may be forgivable; if you keep your staff employed through June 30, 2020. Check to see if you qualify and then contact your bank to see if it is an SBA-approved lender. If your bank is not an SBA-approved lender, contact the SBA to find one.

An SBA loan that helps businesses keep their workforce employed during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.
