AAAWA is saddened to learn of the closure of Meals on Wheels of Benton County after more than 40 years of serving seniors in Northwest Arkansas.

This news highlights the growing challenges facing senior nutrition and support programs across our state. As costs continue to rise and volunteer resources become more limited, community support is more important than ever.

For those who would like to make a difference locally, we encourage you to support programs serving older adults in your own communities. Donations can be made through your local Senior Activity Centers or by contacting your region's Area Agency on Aging to learn about programs and services that support local seniors throughout the State of Arkansas. Contact information for Area Agencies throughout the state can be found here: https://agingarkansas.org

Every donation, volunteer hour, and act of support help to ensure that older adults have access to nutritious meals, social connection, and the resources they need to remain healthy and independent. You can donate directly to AAAWA at: https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/AJ4U4J6V3DJDL

Together, we can continue serving the seniors who depend on these vital programs.

Your gift to Area Agency on Aging of Western Arkansas, Inc. helps medically frail and underserved individuals maintain their quality of life through compassionate, home-based care. Give today to ensure no senior in our community goes without the support they need.

AAAWA staff was honored to attend the recent Veterans Community Partners meeting at the VA campus in Fayetteville.

We appreciated the opportunity to connect with fellow community partners and to explain more about the resources and support available to local veterans and their families through AAAWA. Thank you to everyone who helps make these collaborations possible as we work together to serve those who have served our country.
