FORT BUILDERS — THIS WEEKEND!

The Fort Kids Fort Building Competition is happening on October 17th, and we’re getting close!

Kids ages 5–13 will get to put their creativity, teamwork, and building skills to the test as they design and build their own forts.

And don’t worry, little builders, we’ll have blocks and chalk for younger kids so they can join the fun, too!

FORT BUILDERS… IT’S ALMOST TIME!

Grab your crew, bring your biggest ideas, and get ready to BUILD!

The Fort Kids Fort Building Competition is coming up October 17th, and we can’t wait to see what our young builders create.

The competition is open to kids ages 5–13, with building beginning at 9:30 AM.

Have a younger builder who still wants in on the fun? We’ll also have blocks and chalk available for little kids, so everyone can create, build, and play.

Will it be a castle? A secret hideout? A giant clubhouse? Something completely unexpected? That’s the best part, there’s no limit to a kid’s imagination.

What. A. Day.

Before we share anything else, we just want to say THANK YOU.

To every parent who got kids registered, rearranged schedules, drove across town, or across the region and spent the day in the gym with us: thank you.

To every kid who showed up ready to learn, compete, laugh, make new friends and play basketball: you are the reason we do this.

To Isaiah Joe, his family and his entire team: thank you for continuing to show up for Fort Smith.

Isaiah could spend his offseason anywhere. Instead, he comes home and gives kids in our community an experience they’ll remember for a long time. That matters.

And to everyone who helped make the 2026 Isaiah Joe Shooters Shoot Basketball Camp possible, thank you for believing in what happens when a community show up for its kids.

We took A LOT of pictures...and we are about to find out how many Facebook will let us upload.

So grab your kids, start scrolling and tag yourselves, your friends and your family when you find a photo you love!

From all of us at Fort Kids:

Thank you for showing up. Thank you for supporting Isaiah. And most importantly, thank you for showing these kids just how much this community believes in them.

What a night for City of Fort Smith, Arkansas!

Tonight, our community came together to celebrate one of our own as Isaiah Joe Court officially became part of Fort Smith. A permanent recognition of a hometown kid who dreamed big, put in the work, and continues to give back to the community that helped shape him.

And the celebration isn’t over yet.

Tomorrow, we’re back at Northside High School for the 2026 Isaiah Joe Shooters Shoot Basketball Camp! For Fort Kids, that’s what makes this weekend so special.

It’s bigger than basketball. It’s about creating experiences for kids, investing in their potential, and giving the next generation something to dream about.

Congratulations, Isaiah, on an incredibly well-deserved honor.

5 DAYS 🏀🔥

We’re officially 5 DAYS AWAY from the 2026 Isaiah Joe Basketball Camp, and before the first ball hits the court, we want to recognize the incredible businesses and individuals helping make this day possible.

From our Event Sponsor, ArcBest, to our featured sponsors, scholarship sponsors, and in-kind partners — THANK YOU.

Your support is about so much more than a logo on a banner. You’re helping create an unforgettable experience for local kids, opening doors for families, and investing directly in the youth of our community.

We’re proud to have each of you on this team, and we couldn’t make a day like this happen without you.

Help us show these incredible sponsors some love — check out the organizations and individuals tagged in this post!

We need your help! Fort Kids Children’s Museum community, we know our Bakery space has been well loved the past two years. We would love some help fixing our scarf blower. Are there engineers out there who might want to help us fix the airflow and tubes of our scarf blower? Please comment and we will reach out! We are going to figure some good ways to revamp our space and we might have some news soon on where we are putting some fun, new exhibits!

After hearing the stories from parents following last year's Spirit Squad, we knew we HAD to bring it back.

Parents told us their children felt seen. They felt included. They felt like they weren't just watching the event, they were part of it. Those conversations reminded us why we do what we do. That's why the Inclusive Spirit Squad is returning to the Annual Isaiah Joe Basketball Camp.

If you have a child aged 6–14 with physical or developmental disabilities who would love to be part of the excitement, we'd love to welcome them to our team. They'll help cheer on the campers, make new friends, and experience a day filled with encouragement, energy, and fun.

Ages 6-9 will be at 9:00am-10:00am
Ages 10-14 will be at 2:00pm-3:00pm

This experience is completely FREE.
