Two weeks ago, Pastor Tony Smith of Elevation Church Indianapolis had a heart attack and was admitted to a local hospital. On arrival it was quickly determined that his heart was barely functioning and that his kidneys and liver were failing to the point that he would need a heart transplant and would be on dialysis the rest of his life.
Within 11 hours, he was transferred to IU Health Methodist Hospital. His heart was functioning at 5% with the medication that had been given to him on his emergency entrance to the hospital.
The Elevation Church family begin to pray around the clock, and the body of Christ responded in prayer throughout the community.
The miracles had started, and now they were becoming very obvious as the doctors reported two days later that, “He will not need a heart transplant, his kidneys and liver are functioning properly, and he will not need dialysis.” He was released from the hospital 10 days later to go home.
At Tony’s request I arrived on Friday to see him and Kim and Saturday meet with the leadership team of the church and bring the Word on Sunday. Intermittent through my stay there three times I was in their home rejoicing and watching a miracle happen with my own eyes. As I write this, his heart is currently functioning at 28%, he is convalescing well, the church is strong and healthy, and Kim is staying by Tony's side with faithful, loving care.
I encourage you to pray for Tony’s complete recovery, Kim, their family, and the Elevation Church family. We are watching a tremendous miracle of healing take place.
Elevation is experiencing a revival, Pastor Tony is hearing from the Holy Spirit, and greater things are still to come. We’ll keep you posted.
