❤️ A Special Project We’re Proud to See Completed!

The Hamilton Center for Child Advocacy is proud to be a part of the Infant & Child Death Review Committee, led by Arkansas Children’s Hospital. This committee brings together agencies from across our area to review child deaths, identify possible risk factors, and look for ways we can help prevent future tragedies.

This year, our team is reviewing cases from 2024, and one of those reviews brought attention to Natural Dam, a very popular swimming area in our community. Through our discussions, we recognized the need for additional signage warning families and visitors about dangers such as strong currents and sudden drop-offs.

After months of working together, we are so excited to see this safety sign officially up at Natural Dam! ❤️

This project truly took a team effort. We are incredibly thankful for the Infant & Child Death Review Committee, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, the Arkansas Forest Service, Crawford County Highway Department, Crawford County Judge Chris Keith, Charlene Fite and everyone who helped make this possible.

Our hope is simple: that this sign brings awareness, encourages families to use caution, and ultimately helps prevent another tragedy.

Sometimes prevention starts with something as simple as making sure people know the risks. We are proud to play a small part in making our community safer for children and families. ❤️

A huge thank you to Ambrosía Cart Co.for treating our staff to such a delicious wellness surprise! 🍨🍓

They brought their amazing Happy Cart and served up a fun sundae bar along with refreshing açaí bowls. It was the perfect way to treat our team and remind them how appreciated they are.

They even made sure our sweet Dolly was included with her very own pup cup! 🐾❤️

What an incredible evening!

Our Partners in Protection Inaugural Charity Banquet was a tremendous success, and we are so grateful to everyone who made it possible, from our guests and sponsors to our partners, staff, and board members. And the food and the band! Amazing!!

A special thank you to Attorney General Tim Griffin for his leadership and for announcing a $50,000 matching pledge, helping us strengthen our ability to serve children and families in our community.

This year’s event was a little different. As our first year hosting, we chose an invitation-only format, with our board members inviting guests, so we could thoughtfully manage the size and ensure a meaningful experience for everyone involved.

If you weren’t invited, please know you were not overlooked! We simply didn’t know what to expect and wanted to make sure we could execute the event well.

And now that we’ve seen what’s possible…

We’re already looking ahead.

Next year, we hope to grow this event, welcoming more of our community to be part of this important work.

Because protecting children is not the responsibility of a few, it is a commitment we all share.
