Our Outreach Center, located on the second floor of The Bourbon County Senior Citizens Center, brings services to families in the Fort Scott/Bourbon County area. Included are cleaning and hygiene supplies, bedding, fans, heaters, local transportation, and some medical equipment. The Outreach Center originated as My Father's House Community Outreach Center and was launched in January 2014. The Out

reach Center is a 501c3 Nonprofit organization supported by local churches, organizations, and individuals and is sponsored locally by the Fort Scott Church of the Nazarene. Our organization also represents The Salvation Army for Bourbon County, assisting with Disaster Relief, rental and utilities assistance, gas vouchers, prescription and eyeglass assistance. We are also the County Coordinator for CarePortal, where churches work with local social work agencies to provide for clients. We coordinate with the Fort Scott Ministerial Alliance to provide transient assistance.

Our Story

Our Outreach Center, located on the second floor of The Bourbon County Senior Citizens Center, works by appointment to bring services to families who are experiencing poverty (or issues stemming from poverty) in the Fort Scott/Bourbon County area. The Outreach Center originated as My Father's House Community Outreach Center and was launched in January 2014. The Outreach Center is a 501c3 Non Profit Orgaization supported by local churches, organizations, and individuals and is sponsored locally by the Fort Scott Church of the Nazarene. Our organization also represents The Salvation Army for Bourbon County, assisting with Disaster Relief, rental and utilities assistance, gas vouchers, prescription, eyeglass assistance, and other needs on a case-by-case basis.
