π§₯ No Child Should Face Winter Without a Coat π§₯
Each winter, too many children go to school cold β or stay home because they donβt have something warm to wear.
π The Facts:
β’ Across the United States, roughly 11.4 million children live in poverty, meaning thousands of families struggle to afford a simple winter coat.
β’ In Kansas, about 13% of all children β nearly 89,000 kids β live below the poverty line.
β’ A national survey found that 1 in 3 parents have kept a child home on a cold day because they couldnβt afford a proper coat, and over half said their kids have worn coats that no longer fit, just to stay warm.
