Shepherd's Center of Fort Scott is now known as Aging Forward!
Same great programs to encourage fellowship and lifelong learning for retired adults, our programs are free and open to anyone who would like to attend.

FRIDAY, July 26th , 2024
1 to 4pm in Fellowship Hall
(3rd Street entrance, north side, downstairs)

In July we will hear from Austin Bolinger of Tri-Valley Hortoculture with plant and gardening tips, Matt Chaplin from Landmark Bank on avoiding scams and
a 3rd speaker to be confirmed.
It will be a great time of fellowship and learning!

The 4th Friday of each month April – September will feature speakers on a variety of topics. Aimed at retired adults to inspire lifelong learning and combat isolation and loneliness, anyone interested is welcome to attend.
We meet in Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church (3rd street entrance)
from 1pm to about 4pm.
On May 24th we will feature an aviation and service theme. Ron Wood will share the story of his service and surviving a helicopter crash, Ralph Carlson will share about his time as an Air Force pilot and Lynette Emerson will share information on her love of skydiving!
It will be a great time of fellowship and learning!
Mark your calendar for June 28, July 26, August 23, and September 27th as well!

Really nice afternoon with Shepherd’s Center Adventures in Learning program. Thanks yo FSCC President Jason Kepler for dropping by and our wonderful speakers Linda McGee, Officer Michael Trim, Peggy Cummings from Old Fort Geneologicsl Society, Superintendent Jill Jaworski from the Fort Scott NHS, and Austin Bollinger from Tri-Valley horticultural therapy. We will have a meeting Friday, Sept 15th at 2pm to plan the next sessions and the 2024 calendar!

Our next Shepherds’s Center / Adventures in Learning event will be Friday, August 4th, 1-4pm with a keynote from Linda McGee, who has been volunteering at First United Methodist this summer doing field experience hours for her doctoral work. Details coming soon!
