165 Years of Connecting the Force 🇺🇸⚡
For 165 years, the U.S. Army Signal Corps has been the backbone of communication for our Army. Since its establishment in 1860, Signal Soldiers have ensured commanders could see, decide, and act—no matter the environment or the enemy.
During World War I, Signal Soldiers were the bridge to victory—laying wire under fire, operating radios in chaos, and ensuring information moved faster than the fight. Communication wasn’t a luxury; it was the difference between success and failure.
Today, that mission is more critical than ever. In Large-Scale Combat Operations (LSCO), Signal Soldiers are not just supporting the fight—we are shaping it. From expeditionary networks to cyberspace operations, we now operate across multiple domains, enabling convergence and dominance against near-peer threats.
As we honor 165 years of excellence, we also accept our responsibility: to instill technical mastery, adaptability, and courage in the next generation of Signal Soldiers. The technology may change, but our purpose remains the same—to connect the Army, empower the warfighter, and win.
Yesterday, we were the bridge.
Today, we are the future.
