Join Protestant Women of the Chapel (PWOC) tomorrow, September 1, right here at USO Fort Polk for an afternoon of fellowship as they kick off the fall semester!

Current PWOC members, women interested in joining PWOC, and women of any Christian faith are welcome to join us, bring a friend, and enjoy a Sweet Start to the Semester! 💕

🍓 September 1 | 11:30 AM–1:30 PM | Sweet Start to the Semester
PWOC will be kicking off the semester with their Sweet Start to the Semester event at the USO! Check out our previous post for all the details.

🇺🇸 September 7 | Labor Day
The USO Fort Polk Center will be closed in observance of Labor Day.

🧀 September 9 | 11:30 AM | Nacho Lunch
Welcome back to our reoccurring Nacho Lunch! Stop by, grab a plate, and stay awhile or grab a quick lunch to go.

🎮 September 12, 21 & 25 | Madden Tournaments
We’ll be hosting 3 Wildcard Madden Tournaments for currently serving service members, with Super Bowl tickets up for grabs! 🏈 Registration and details will be available next week, so keep an eye out for the flyers with times and registration details.

🎶September 19 | Forge Fest Concert
Check out Mobile USO at the Forge Fest Concert at HQ Field!

🧘‍♀️ September 28 | 6 PM | Yoga
Last but not least, yoga is back at the center! We’re excited to welcome Sammy from Iron Lotus LLC for an evening of stretching, relaxing, and resetting. Registration will be available closer to the event.

Before National Dog Day comes to an end, we want to take a moment to honor one very special member of the USO Fort Polk team.

Chewbacca may have been a tiny dog, but his impact was anything but small. As one of our beloved therapy dog volunteers, Chewy brought so much comfort and joy to our local military families and Service Members who came through Fort Polk fort JRTC.

Although Chewy has made his journey to doggy heaven, his impact will forever be remembered here at the USO and our community .

Thank you for your service Chewbacca. You will always be a part of the USO Fort Polk family 🌈🐾

We were just informed that the South Main Express is currently out of regular fuel, and the pumps are shut down.

The unmanned Dogwood fuel station has all fuel grades available! Please plan accordingly.
