Here is an Army Emergency Relief Quarter 2 update.

Over 3,500 Soldiers received support in the past three months, totaling over $7M. POV, housing and utilities were the most common requests in Q2.

Donors contributed more than $5M since March, including $4.8M from active-duty and retired Soldiers, DA Civilians, and their Families during the 2021 Annual Campaign.

Hurricane season has begun and Army Emergency Relief is allocating $1 million in needs-based grants for Soldiers affected by natural disasters and emergencies. Need assistance? Talk to a JRTC & Fort Polk AER officer!

Army Emergency Relief can help with childcare and remote learning! The COVID-19 Childcare Assistance Program and Homeschool & Remote Learning Assistance are need-based, 100% grant assistance programs for Soldiers and Army Families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This Memorial Day, wreaths are being laid at Arlington National Cemetery to honor the sacrifice of our fallen Service Members and the legacy they left behind. Watch the ceremony live on the official U.S. Army page at 9 am EST on Monday, May 31st.

1-5AVN will be conducting an AER car wash today at BN HQ from 1300-1700 to help support Soldiers and Army Families in need. Provide any contribution amount and have your car washed! All FPLA Soldiers, DoD Civilians, and Family Members are welcome to participate. Please spread the word to your battle, family and friends!

If you or one of your Soldiers would like to lend 1-5 AVN a hand (they could use a few more volunteers) please arrive at 12:30.
