The power of accepting what is, in order to maintain peace and composure—this is what the masters spoke of. Accepting what is does not mean we do nothing about it—it means we accept what is before us while working to minimize complaint, resistance, or disturbance (suffering). We may at first react with an emotional response, honor that and let it pass through so as not to stuff our emotions. Then let us find our way back to center and our highest self where we then may choose the best course of action for moving forward. Non-resistance and acceptance is not passive, it is peaceful and intentional response to that which is before us. It is how we bring forth right action from a place of centeredness rather than emotional or mental chaos.
