Established in 1988, Main Street Fort Pierce, Inc. (a not-for-profit corporation) is a local, public-private partnership funded by memberships, fund-raising projects and city government. ates a positive image to attract customers and investors, rekindles community pride, enhances the visual quality of the downtown environment, and attracts strategic additions to the economic mix. Main Street Fort Pierce’s track record includes the successful Friday Fest, Sandy Shoes Festival and Sights and Sounds on Second, along with other special events.

Deciding whether to cancel or postpone an event is not an easy decision. Our crystal ball is pretty foggy right now but we are erring on the side of caution and cancelling September Friday Fest.

HOWEVER -- while we think the tents dotting Marina Square on the first Friday of the month are pretty special, Friday Fest is more than just one spot in Downtown Fort Pierce.

What began in 1988 as a small group with a few tables on 2nd Street has blossomed into a full Downtown celebration to welcome the weekend.

These days you can find live music at multiple venues Downtown -- almost every night of the week. The restaurant options are plentiful and our shops are open. The proprietors of downtown Fort Pierce have made it their business to be community champions and it shows.

So...while Friday Fest may not be happening in typical fashion on 9/4 (don't worry -- we'll be back on 10/2!🤞) you can bet there will still be PLENTY happening in Downtown. Consider this your invitation to join us in dining, drinking, and living local!!
