History took flight once again! 🛩️🪂

On April 4, 2026, jumpers, aviation enthusiasts, and friends gathered to celebrate the relaunch of Mr. Douglas, DeLand's legendary DC-3. The iconic aircraft performed flawlessly, carrying 98 skydivers and 8 observers as it returned to the skies in spectacular fashion. Read more about the event below 👇

The Mr. Douglas Society, Inc. is sad to report the passing of our Treasurer James Bennett. Jim passed away in his sleep on Memorial Day. This was Jim‘s favorite slot. front floating on Mr. Douglas. Lots of times he would be wearing cameras, but here He’s just having fun! Jim was part of the Indiana Bunch! Who’s motto was “We came to party!” He was notoriously fun and a good load organizer! Always upbeat and included everyone. Blue Skies Jim Bennett.
