POLICE ACTIVITY
Earlier today (Thursday), two deputies were at Little Mud beach in response to a complaint they'd received. Apparently, a naked male had walked very far north of Mud Creek to the residential area and startled a female resident at one of the homes. The woman was very upset to be approached by a n**e man and called 911. The deputies responded by coming to Little Mud and telling the n**e beachgoers that they needed to move south or cover up.
Prior to this incident, there had been no interference by the Sheriff's Department at Mud Creek. However, if they receive a complaint they are compelled to respond.
Obviously, we would like to maintain an atmosphere where there is no need for the police to come to the beach. The best thing we can do is behave in a manner that doesn't draw complaints from the public. We are asking that any beachgoers who enter the beach at Mud Creek please turn right and walk south. Do not sit to the left (north) of the trailhead and do not go for a walk north of the trailhead. And please do not approach clothed beachgoers.
If you are on the beach and see anyone heading north of the Mud Creek trailhead, we kindly ask that you give them a friendly reminder that being in this area could attract complaints.
Thanks!
