On February 12th five members of the Lookout Mountain Homemakers organization volunteered to serve dinner and refreshments for the DeKalb County Children's Advocacy Center's Theatre production of "Jukebox Diner" Eddie McPherson Memorial Dinner Theater. The production was held at the First Methodist Church Christian Life Center in Fort Payne Alabama. The CAC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing hope and healing to children who have experienced abuse and other traumas.

We would like to thank all of you for supporting our organization by coming today and purchasing baked goods and giving donations. We are grateful and blessed. All of the baked goods were sold. The LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN HOMEMAKERS members attended the 2025 District 1 Meeting, themed Butterflies in the Garden, on 4/10/25. The event featured beautiful floral arrangements with butterflies on the tables, as well as floral/butterflies placemats. Master Gardeners Jessie and Karolina Sawicka presented the program Pollinators in the Garden. AHCL State Officers Elizabeth Griswold and Judy Case were in attendance. District One Director Mattie Woods led the Welcome, Introductions, and Memorial Ceremony. A delicious breakfast and luncheon was provided. "Butterflies are God's confetti thrown upon the Earth in celebration of His love".- K D'Angelo

On February 13th, 2025 was the DeKalb County Homemakers Awards Day. The Woman of the Year nominees were recognized! Ann Barrett,Christine Ashley and Lynne Byers. Our very own Christine Ashley was awarded the DeKalb County Lookout Mountain Homemakers Award Woman of the Year 2024! Congratulations Christine Ashley! 🏆💐 The award was presented by Janice Smith County President. Awards Day was hosted by the Geraldine Club. The Lookout Mountain Homemakers were awarded the Club of the Year. Lookout Mountain Homemakers also received Club awards for many other categories. Congratulations!!! 👏
