On February 12th five members of the Lookout Mountain Homemakers organization volunteered to serve dinner and refreshments for the DeKalb County Children's Advocacy Center's Theatre production of "Jukebox Diner" Eddie McPherson Memorial Dinner Theater. The production was held at the First Methodist Church Christian Life Center in Fort Payne Alabama. The CAC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing hope and healing to children who have experienced abuse and other traumas.

We would like to thank all of you for supporting our organization by coming today and purchasing baked goods and giving donations. We are grateful and blessed. All of the baked goods were sold. Next bake sale fundraiser will be on November 22, 2025. So save the date and reminders will be posted on our page.

The LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN HOMEMAKERS members attended the 2025 District 1 Meeting, themed Butterflies in the Garden, on 4/10/25. The event featured beautiful floral arrangements with butterflies on the tables, as well as floral/butterflies placemats. Master Gardeners Jessie and Karolina Sawicka presented the program Pollinators in the Garden. AHCL State Officers Elizabeth Griswold and Judy Case were in attendance. District One Director Mattie Woods led the Welcome, Introductions, and Memorial Ceremony. A delicious breakfast and luncheon was provided. "Butterflies are God's confetti thrown upon the Earth in celebration of His love".- K D'Angelo
