We are excited to announce our Summer Day Camp lineup! Get ready for hands-on learning, outdoor adventure, and FUN all summer long with DeKalb County 4-H.

👧Open to youth ages 9–18 unless otherwise stated

🎣 Sportfishing
📅 June 12 | ⏰ 9 AM–11 AM
📍 Little River Canyon Center
Cast a line and join the fun at 4-H Sportfishing Day Camp! Youth will learn fishing skills, water safety, casting techniques, and outdoor conservation while competing in our Biggest Catch Contest. It’s a day full of fishing, fun, and friendly competition!

📍 Sand Mountain Research & Extension Center
Get buzzing with us at Pollinators Day Camp! Youth will learn about pollination and honeybees through hands-on games, fun activities, and outdoor exploration while discovering the important role pollinators play in our world.
🍋 Lemonade Wars – Part 1

Kick off Lemonade Wars with Day 1: Business Basics! Participants will create a business plan, design their brand, budget supplies, and hear from local entrepreneurs about what it takes to start and run a business.

📍 DeKalb County VFW Fairgrounds
Take aim and join the fun at Archery Day Camp! Youth will learn archery safety, proper shooting techniques, and build confidence on the range through hands-on practice and exciting target challenges.
🍋 Lemonade Wars – Part 2
📅 June 30 | ⏰ 10 AM–1 PM
📍 NACC E-Center
Day 2 of Lemonade Wars is game time! Participants will put their plans into action by setting up and running their lemonade stands, marketing to customers, and competing to see who can make the biggest splash in sales.

📍 DeSoto State Park
Grab a paddle and explore the outdoors at RiverKids Day Camp! Youth will enjoy kayaking, river discovery, outdoor games, and hands-on adventures while learning about nature and water safety.

📍 DeSoto State Park
RiverKids Day Camp is all about outdoor adventure and hands-on discovery! Youth will kayak, explore the river, play outdoor games, and learn water safety and environmental stewardship. We’re excited to partner with Jackson County 4-H for an even bigger day on the water!
🎨 Art Day

👧Cloverbuds welcome (ages 5–8)
A creative hands-on experience where youth can explore painting, drawing, and craft projects while expressing their creativity and taking home their own artwork!

📅 July 15 | ⏰ 9 AM–12 PM
📍 Jackson County Fairgrounds in Scottsboro
Hands-on agriculture fun including animals, equipment, and crop exploration. We’re excited to partner with Jackson County 4-H for an even bigger day of farm learning and discovery!
