On this National First Responder Day,  I did a thing today! I hung up my coat and helmet as a volunteer firefighter after 32 years total service. Six years at Waco Fire Department, Waco, Ga, twenty years at Ft Oglethorpe Fire Department, and six years at Catoosa County Fire Department.  I will continue to serve as Chaplain, but no more Air-Light Truck and Tuesday night drills. It’s been a good ride!!!
