Our sweet girl Elm has officially found her forever home! 🥹💚

Elm was one of our precious rescue kittens from the Woodland Colony, and watching her journey from a little colony kitten to a beloved family member has been so incredibly special. Today, she gets to begin the next chapter of her life surrounded by love, comfort, and all the happiness she deserves. 🏡✨

A HUGE thank you to her amazing foster mama for loving, nurturing, and caring for Elm until her forever family came along. Foster homes truly make happy endings like this possible. ❤️

And congratulations to Savannah & Connor on your new little family member! We are so grateful you chose to open your hearts and home to a Rad Cat rescue baby. We know Elm is going to be SO loved! 🥰

⚠️WARNING ⚠️

😈SINGLE KITTEN SYNDROME 🦈

Dottie is a precious little survivor, but, she craves violence 🧛‍♀️

When kittens grow up without a fellow kitten friend, they miss out on core socialization and boundary skills.

When kittens tussel and play, they teach each other what is too rough and what is fun and acceptable.

Dottie was a very sick little baby upon intake and had to be quarantined for a long time. Hopefully, she will soon get to join some more kitten friends and learn some manners 🤞

We often get applicants who apply to adopt 1 single kitten and they wonder why we always recommend adopting 2. THIS is why! Single kittens become bored without another kitty buddy and can become bitey, hissy, aggressive, and even destructive.

Rescues and shelters that adopt kittens out in pairs have a much lower return rate for this very reason!

Our rescue gives a discount to adopters wishing to adopt pairs! 🙌

Dottie was recently given the nickname Princess Piranha Pants 😹

She will soon be available for adoption to a home with other young playful cats OR with another kitten friend!

🧽Everyone Meet Smitty WerbenJagerManJensen🐠

HE WAS #1!

Any SpongeBob fans here?

This cute little guy was trapped at our Cosmic Colony and was too small to be neutered and released. Thankfully our new volunteer saw him and instantly wanted to foster him!

This is their FIRST ever foster kitty, so that's what inspired his name 😹

If you don't get the reference, we totally recommend watching SpongeBob Squarepants 👌

Smitty is a very sweet and playful kitten. He enjoys cuddles on cozy blankets and playing with his favorite toys and cat TV.
He is a little shy at first and would do best in an adult only home.

He is great with other cats and kittens and will soon be available for adoption! He will be neutered on September 17th.

😽ADOPTABLE KITTENS♥️

Four of our Studio Ghibili kittens are now 3 months old, fully vetted, and ready for adoption ✨️

🍃Totoro (long-haired grey tabby, male) is the most talkative. He's very busy and curious also very playful. He likes to be cuddled like a baby.

🌊Haku (long-haired grey tabby, male) is the most thoughtful of the sibs. He's the one most likely to be watching out the window, sitting quietly in the cat tree or just hanging out in a lap. He's also the one we call pretty boy. For obvious reasons!

🐈‍⬛️Jiji (short-haired solid black, male) is the liveliest of the kittens! He's super s***ky, and also very cuddly. He's the most curious and most rambunctious of the sibs.

💟Chihiro (short-haired tabby, female) is the one who could keep up with Jiji in s***k! Very playful but also very likely to curl up on your lap. Jiji and Chihiro absolutely love one another and often play and sleep together.

Despite the heartache and hardships our rescue has experienced this past week and a half, we are reminded of the good and why we do what we do.

4️⃣ precious kitties found their forever homes with loving humans 💖

🌌Draco & Andromeda found a lovely home with Helen and family! We are so happy they get to stay together as a pair 🩶

🤎Reggie was officially adopted by his foster mama Mel! This handsome ol boy finally feels safe and at home 🏡

🧡Mercury found his forever home with a very kind person named Josie! She understands his shy personality and is willing to give him all the patience, love, and TLC he needs.

Thank you SO MUCH to all of their fosters and adopters. It warms are hearts to see these kitties grow, heal, and thrive after being rescued. From suffering on the streets to being the litte princesses and princes they deserve to be 👑💖

We are happy to report that Hubert Jones is feeling better 🖤🤍

We went to visit him yesterday at our vet and he stretched and came up to us for some loving 🥹

He is thankfully back home with his foster mama now 🙌 He's still a bit tired from his hospital stay, but he's back to eating and on the road to recovery ♥️

It is with incredible sadness that we have to let everyone know that Jumba didn't make it 💔

He was hospitalized with our vet and they thought the surgery was a success. This morning he crashed and we had to tell him goodbye 😔

This has been one of the most trying weeks in rescue that we've ever experienced... so much unexpected loss, sickness, and stress.

Please everyone keep Jumba's foster parents in your thoughts ♥️ They have had Jumba in their care since he was just 7/8 weeks old 😢

His brother Pleakley, his bonded pair, is going to be extremely lonely without him....

We wanted to celebrate Jumba's life with a slideshow of adorable memories 💖 Though Jumba's life was not near as long as we had hoped for, he knew nothing but love, safety, and fun because of his dedicated fosters.

Rest easy beautiful boy 🖤 I always thought you were the most strikingly handsome tuxedos. You will be so dearly missed. 🌈🪽

⚠️Hubert and Jumba update🏥

Hubert has been diagnosed with pancreatitis, a complication of his diabetes. Thankfully it is treatable and curable. He is currently hospitalized and on IV fluids to flush his pancreas. We are so thankful his foster acted fast at the first signs of loss of appetite and lethargy. Our vet expects a full recovery and is hoping he can be discharged tomorrow 🤞

It's been a whole roller-coaster with Jumba... he was successfully unblocked from his urinary tract blockage last night at the ER. We followed up with our regular vet today and Jumba was blocked AGAIN. They could only express a drop or 2 of urine 💔 So, he had to also be hospitalized... He was unblocked again and this time hooked up to IV fluids and catheterized, this way ALL the infection and sediment in his urinary tract and kidneys can be flushed out. He will stay hooked up until at least Wednesday to ensure he stays fully unblocked. Thankfully, he is already pushing urine freely through the catheter. We are hopeful for a full recovery 🙏 He will have to be on a prescription urinary tract health diet the rest of his life.

We are so incredibly grateful that these precious boys are receiving the life saving care they need and deserve ❤️ Alas, we are extremely overwhelmed and discouraged right now though, due to the mounting financial burden 😢

We have never had THIS MANY medical emergencies all at once and it has stretched our whole rescue to the max. Panleukopenia, giardia, upper respiratory infections, and now pancreatitis and urinary blockage all in a 8 day span is insane.

We know we sound like a broken record, but we really need your help... if you can donate, share, like, comment, invite your friends to follow us, etc. it would be remarkably helpful ♥️

🆘️‼️JUMBA IS BACK AT THE ER VET‼️🆘️

We are BACK at the ER vet with Jumba 😥

It's been determined that he now has a URINARY TRACT BLOCKAGE and is about to undergo a procedure to unblock him.

We are now at $1300 spent on his care in the past 24hrs. We are doing all we can to save his life.

PLEASE please please share this post. This is a critical situation and we need all the support we can get for these precious animals. They are so deserving of the best possible vet care.
