Communities In Schools of Catoosa County

Communities In Schools of Catoosa County We are comprised of two programs: Parents as Teachers and School Sites.

1.

The mission of Communities In Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
The Parents as Teachers (PAT) Evidence- Based Model is the comprehensive home-visiting, parent education model that focuses on school readiness and child development serving children and families from prenatal to age five. Our Paren

t Educators also work with community members to provide resources for their families to help them reach their goals.

2. We have Site Coordinators in four schools in Catoosa County: Cloud Springs Elementary, West Side Elementary, Lakeview Middle, and Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High. All school sites offer school-wide, small groups, and personal supports that work toward improvement on the ABCs (Attendance, Behavior, and Coursework/Grades). Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School contains our Student Success Center, which houses a large food pantry, clothing closet, home goods shelf, hygiene cabinet, and school supplies, which can be used by any student in the school and in Catoosa County. CISCC offers intensive afterschool programming at Cloud Springs and West Side Elementary Schools, where students receive personalized tutoring, reading assistance, STEAM Activities, and SEL and Trauma-Informed practice.

🎓 Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 🎓

Tonight, we celebrate more than diplomas. We celebrate perseverance, determination, growth, and the countless moments that brought these graduates to this milestone.

At Communities In Schools of Catoosa County, we are honored to have walked alongside these students throughout their journey. We have watched them achieve goals, discover their strengths, and prepare for what comes next.

To every graduate crossing the stage tonight: this accomplishment belongs to you. Your hard work, resilience, and commitment have brought you here, and we could not be more proud.

As you turn the page to your next chapter, know that we are cheering you on. The future is brighter because of the talent, passion, and potential you carry with you.

Congratulations, graduates! Your story is just beginning.

Four of the seniors featured in this campaign are our very own Communities In Schools students from Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School, and on Thursday they will walk across the stage as graduates.

As graduation approaches, we celebrate not only these students, but all of our seniors who have worked hard to reach this milestone. Congratulations, Class of 2026! 🎓❤️

A diploma isn't just a piece of paper. It's proof that someone believed in a student when they needed it most. 🎓

Right now, YOUR gift can be the reason a student walks across that stage.

Every donation is DOUBLED through May 31 during our Graduation Match, which will make your impact go even further.

Last year, 96% of seniors in our programs graduated or earned their GED. With more than 2 million students counting on caring adults in their corner, your support has never mattered more.

💙 Double your impact today. Give Now: https://cisnational.org/4tXH0UR

Today we had the joy of celebrating many of our graduating seniors at LFO with a special graduation party filled with refreshments, encouragement, and lots of excitement for what comes next.

A huge thank you to our Student Support Specialist, Leah, for the love and care she poured into coordinating this celebration for our students. We are also incredibly grateful to the WOW Ministry at Burning Bush Baptist for providing snacks, thoughtful gifts, and for purchasing cap and gowns for several of our seniors. Your generosity helped make this milestone possible for students who needed extra support along the way.

It was especially meaningful to celebrate alongside Ali, our beloved former LFO Student Support Specialist, and CIS board member and LFO Graduation Coach, Susan. Together, Leah, Ali, and Susan have invested countless hours encouraging, supporting, and walking beside students through challenges, victories, and milestones both big and small.

Today was a reminder that student success is built through relationships, consistency, and a community that shows up. We are honored to celebrate these seniors today and every day. 🎓

Over the next few weeks, we will be celebrating a very special group of students: our graduating seniors. 🎓

Every senior has a story. Stories of perseverance, growth, resilience, hard work, and determination. At Communities In Schools, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to realize their full potential, and we are so proud to walk alongside these students as they reach this milestone.

Graduation is more than a ceremony. It is a reminder that with support, encouragement, and people who believe in them, students can overcome obstacles and achieve incredible things.

As we begin highlighting our seniors, we invite YOU to help us celebrate them! Drop a congratulatory message, words of encouragement, or advice for our graduates in the comments below. Let’s show them how proud their community is of all they have accomplished. ❤️🎓

Day 5 of Teacher Appreciation Week brought a little extra fun to West Side Elementary School!

Marquita, our Student Support Specialist at West Side Elementary, wrapped up the week by treating teachers and staff to a Dirty Soda Bar, giving everyone a chance to mix up their favorite flavors and enjoy a refreshing pick-me-up during a busy week.

At Communities In Schools, we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with schools in ways that help support and encourage the incredible educators who pour so much into students each day. Thank you to the staff at West Side Elementary for all you do for your students, your school, and your community.

Day 4 of Teacher Appreciation Week was served up bright and early at Barnhardt Academy with a breakfast bar for the incredible teachers and staff!

From the “All-In Plate” to the “Eggs of Encouragement,” every detail was meant to say THANK YOU to the people who show up for students day after day with patience, heart, and dedication.

This year has been especially meaningful for Communities In Schools because we have the privilege of providing direct services to students at Barnhardt Academy while supporting the whole school!

We are thankful for the partnership, the relationships, and the opportunity to celebrate the educators who make a difference every single day.

🎓✨ Hey, we know these students!

We love seeing our very own LFO students featured in this national Communities In Schools campaign. In just a few short weeks, they will be walking across the graduation stage, and we could not be more proud of all they have accomplished.

Their hard work, perseverance, and growth are what this work is all about. Every day, Communities In Schools works to surround students with support, encouragement, and opportunities so they can confidently step into their next chapter. Seeing local students represent that message on a national level makes it even more special.
