Meet our jokester, Kenzleigh! Kenzleigh isn't afraid to cut-up on the field and have a little fun. She's new to select ball, but she's falling right into place. We look forward to seeing great growth in Kenzleigh this year!

How long have you been playing softball, and what inspired you to start?
- Since I was 6 years old so around 8 or 9 years my best friends dad got both of us into playing ball and I absolutely loved it.
What is your favorite softball memory or moment, and why? –
- When I played with my best friend she quit sadly but I miss her so much!!!
What is your walk-up song, and what does it say about you?
- Jugg (feat monty) it just really hypes me up when I go up to bat.
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
- I’m not scared to laugh or be funny in public lol
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
- Chick-Fil-A lol.
What is something really cool you have been able to do in your life?
- Never letting go of the love for the sport I play
Game & Performance
What positions do you play?
- Catcher, shortstop. I can play most all positions.
What is your favorite position to play and why?
- Catcher because I like being in control and being in all the plays.
What is the biggest accomplishment of your career so far?
- Improving a lot and moving forward, not letting the past plays and stuff get to me.
What is your go-to pre-game ritual or superstition?
- Prayer before and after every game and wearing the same bracelets and put a little baby and baby Jesus in my back pocket.
Is there a specific pitch, play, or moment you still replay in your head?
- When I hit a ball to right field that was a great hit but got caught.
What area of your game are you working hardest to improve right now?
- My fielding and foot work.
Goals & Future
What are your personal goals for this season?
- To improve a lot in my position at short stop and to see progress of my hard work.
Do you have plans to play at the collegiate or professional level?
- Yes, I have always dreamed to go D1.
What is one thing you hope to teach younger players?
- Never give up and always up lift your teammates. Don’t get down on yourself if you make a mistake because mistakes happen, you’re not perfect just learn from your mistakes and you got this.
What profession do you hope to go into and why?
- I’ve always wanted to be a nurse practitioner, but I’ve always also wanted to be a marine biologist to explore the ocean and learn about new animals. I also have wanted to be a veterinarian because I like helping animals and knowing I’m the one that helped them get better!!
