The Haitian community in Southwest Florida is at the center of a very serious national conversation right now.

A case before the U.S. Supreme Court could impact hundreds of thousands of Haitians across the country including many families right here in SWFL.

👉🏽 Read more: https://www.winknews.com/news/lee/supreme-court-case-could-impact-thousands-of-haitians-in-swfl/article_118bb36e-2338-46e9-a7ba-69a3e948cefe.html

At the heart of this case is Temporary Protected Status (TPS) a program that allows Haitians to live and work legally in the U.S. because of the unsafe conditions back home.

Right now:
• Over 350,000 Haitians nationwide are affected
• Many are parents, workers, business owners, and active members of our churches and communities
• A decision is expected later this year

Families are anxious, but we remain hopeful, prayerful, and united.

🙏🏽 Let’s continue to stand together, support one another, and believe for a just and compassionate outcome.

The Haitian community in Southwest Florida is now at the center of two national conversations, one sparked by a deadly crime in Fort Myers that drew attention from national leaders and another unfolding at the U.S. Supreme Court.
