Thanks to all the volunteers, churches, and community organizations that made this year’s Christmas party at Gladiolus Food Pantry one of the best ever!
301 kids participated in activities which included a petting zoo, pony riding, Christmas cookie decorating, face painting and balloon art. The kids were all able to choose their own gifts. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus handed out candy and had their photos taken with the children and families. The Grinch also joined the event.
199 adults enjoyed food and festivities with their children. Hotdogs, popcorn, and snowcones were available as well as ice cream cones from the Lee County Sheriff's Office ice cream truck. The Iona-McGregor Fire Department brought a firetruck and handed out firefighter hats. Raffles for prizes were held for children and adults.
A special thank you to the 68 volunteers who helped at the party and others who helped decorate the inside and outside of the building.

We are deeply grateful for all the support this season — thanks to you, our Thanksgiving was a true success. The generosity and kindness we received filled hearts and homes, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

That said, our shelves are now empty. As we look ahead, we’ll need help restocking so we can continue serving our community with the same spirit of care and abundance. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.

Thank you again for being part of this journey. Together, we can refill the shelves and keep the giving going. ❤️
