State of Florida General Revenue Programs - Programs provide a wide variety of home and community-based services for elders, including adult day care, caregiver training and support, case management, congregate meals, counseling, education/training, home-delivered meals, personal care, respite, and transportation. Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders (SHINE) - Specially trained volunteers provide free, unbiased and confidential Medicare and health insurance counseling. Emergency Home Energy Assistance (EHEAP) - Assists low-income households where at least one person is age 60 or older when experiencing a home energy emergency such as a delinquent utility bill. Health & Wellness Opportunities - Provides health and wellness programs, such as falls prevention through Tai Chi, to elders and disabled adults in the community.
