For over a decade, Wendy’s has ignored the demands of thousands of farmworkers with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers and their consumer allies for verifiable protections against sexual violence, forced labor, and other human rights abuses in its supply chain. While many of the largest fast-food companies and major food retailers — from McDonald’s to Walmart — have joined the Fair Food Program, Wendy’s remains the last major fast-food holdout.
Since its implementation, the Fair Food Program (FFP) has eliminated modern-day slavery and sexual violence, improved farmworker wages for the first time in decades, and guaranteed basic protections for workers.
