What an incredible weekend at the gorgeous South Seas Island Resort!

Despite Saturday’s weather, more than 110 anglers and 39 guests joined us for the 2026 Sean Shearman Fishing Tournament, helping raise funds for scholarships benefiting Florida State University students. We are grateful to every angler, guest, sponsor and volunteer who made the tournament possible.

The countdown is on! We're just days away from the Sean Shearman Garnet & Gold Fishing Tournament and can't wait to welcome everyone to South Seas.

This year's tournament features 32 teams competing on the water, including 18 non-guided teams and 14 guided teams. We will also have a trophy for best youth angler!

We'll kick off tournament weekend on Friday at 6:00 p.m. with our Welcome Party at Red Fish Grill at SouthSeas Resort Captiva Island. Join us for a buffet dinner, an exciting silent auction and a great evening with fellow Seminoles before lines hit the water on Saturday. Admission is included in the angler registration. Guests are welcome at $50 if registered in advance!

Complimentary trolley service will run throughout the evening from the designated event parking area outside the South Seas entrance gate to Red Fish Grill. Look for the **Event Parking** signs and the trolley displaying a special tournament sign.

The countdown is on for the 2026 Sean Shearman Garnet & Gold Fishing Tournament!

We're excited to welcome anglers to our new venue, South Seas on Captiva Island, July 17-18, for a great weekend of fishing, fellowship, and supporting the Sean Shearman Scholarship Fund.

**Important Reminder**

To guarantee your tournament shirt size, all teams must register by Friday, June 12. Our shirt order will be placed immediately after that date, and we cannot guarantee sizes for registrations received later.
