A great day of golf for a great cause!

A BIG WIN for Builders Care and the families we serve! 🏡💙

Lee BIA & Builders Care Executive Vice President Phillip Ford spoke before the Cape Coral City Council as they considered the donation of a surplus property to Lee BIA Builders Care.

We’re excited to share that the City Council approved the donation, giving Builders Care another opportunity to turn a piece of property into something truly meaningful for a local family in need.

A huge thank you to the City of Cape Coral and City Council for recognizing the work Builders Care does in our community and for helping us continue our mission of providing critical housing assistance to those who need it most.

Gulf Coast News reporter Muhammad Abdul Qawee stopped by this morning to interview Lee BIA Builders Care Executive Director Phillip Ford about the Johnson family and the community effort underway to provide this veteran and his wife with safe access to their home.

This project is a true collaboration between Builders Care, the City of Cape Coral and community partners, all working together to make a meaningful difference for this family.

One Step Closer to a Safe Home 🔨

This morning, we met with City of Cape Coral Government and community leaders to walk through the Johnson family’s unique situation and game plan how we can work together to give a veteran and his wife safe access to their home.

With repairs involving both City and private property, partnership is a big piece of making this happen. The City is preparing to address the roadway and their portion of the driveway, while Builders Care will work alongside them to rebuild the remaining portion for the Johnson family.

We are thankful to everyone who has brought this need to our attention and to those who are willing to collaborate together to make an impactful difference.

A cool home and a happy Ms. Shirley. ❄️❤️

Ms. Shirley has spent much of her life caring for others, first as a kindergarten teacher and now as a YMCA volunteer and Sunday School teacher. When the aging AC failed in her longtime family home that her father built, replacing it simply was not within reach. In the Southwest Florida heat, reliable air conditioning is more than comfort. It is essential to her health, safety and independence.

Thank you, Freedom Heating and Cooling LLC for giving Ms. Shirley a cooler, safer home and one less thing to worry about.

Recent hurricanes left their mark on the home of Mr. Fulton, a 77-year-old Navy veteran, including damage to his soffit and fascia that left portions of his home vulnerable to further deterioration.

With Homer now facing the onset of dementia and gradual vision loss, keeping up with necessary home repairs has become increasingly difficult. Thankfully, our friends at Crowther Roofing and Cooling were ready to step in! ❤️

Their team generously donated a complete soffit and fascia replacement, helping protect Homer’s home and giving him one less thing to worry about as he continues to safely and independently remain in the home he loves.

We can’t thank Crowther Roofing enough for continuing to show up for our homeowners and our mission.
