Recent hurricanes left their mark on the home of Mr. Fulton, a 77-year-old Navy veteran, including damage to his soffit and fascia that left portions of his home vulnerable to further deterioration.

With Homer now facing the onset of dementia and gradual vision loss, keeping up with necessary home repairs has become increasingly difficult. Thankfully, our friends at Crowther Roofing and Cooling were ready to step in! ❤️

Their team generously donated a complete soffit and fascia replacement, helping protect Homer’s home and giving him one less thing to worry about as he continues to safely and independently remain in the home he loves.

We can’t thank Crowther Roofing enough for continuing to show up for our homeowners and our mission.

Builders Care had the privilege of teaming up with the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral Leadership Class of 2026 yesterday to make a big difference for Ms. Bradbery.

After spending more than a decade connecting with and serving her community at Keiser University, Ms. Bradbery now found herself needing a little support from her community in return. At 62 and facing terminal Stage 4 bladder cancer, her health challenges combined with the Florida summer heat have made the physical demands of maintaining her yard more than she can manage on her own.

With the overgrowth resulting in code violations, City of Cape Coral Code Enforcement recognized that she needed a helping hand and referred her to Builders Care. What started as a code enforcement concern quickly became an opportunity for our community to rally around a neighbor in need.

More than 30 volunteers from the Cape Coral Chamber Leadership Class spent the afternoon mowing, trimming, clearing overgrowth, planting and hauling away debris, giving Ms. Bradbery one less thing to worry about.

A huge thank you to the Cape Coral Chamber Leadership Class of 2026, Waste Pro, and everyone who donated their time, equipment and energy to make this transformation possible. ❤️

Big news at Builders Care!

We’re excited to officially welcome a familiar face into an expanded role! Phillip Ford has been named Executive Vice President of Lee BIA Builders Care, while continuing his leadership as Executive Vice President of Lee Building Industry Association .

Phillip has been part of the Builders Care family for many years, and his passion for our mission, our building industry and giving back to our community makes this next chapter especially exciting.

In his new role, Phillip will work alongside our staff and Board of Directors to grow industry partnerships, strengthen fundraising efforts and help us continue providing life-changing home repairs for homeowners throughout Lee County.

We’re excited to have Phillip leading the way as we continue building hope, one home at a time.

We are honored to see the Russo's story featured in the The News-Press. After enduring years of hardship, including the collapse of their roof by an unlicensed contractor, the Russos are finally seeing hope restored through the generosity of our incredible building industry partners and supporters.

A special thank you to McKinnis Roofing & Sheet Metal SW Florida for completing the Russo family's roof replacement and helping bring this critical phase of the project to life.

While the exterior improvements are complete, the journey isn't over. The next phase of the project is transforming their bathroom into an ADA-accessible space, giving Vincent the safety, independence, and accessibility he deserves.

Siggs Air Conditioning completed essential repairs to the AC system, restoring reliable cooling and improving comfort and efficiency throughout the home. Garage Door Works generously replaced the garage door system, ensuring safe and dependable operation while improving overall security.
