Building Great Teams!

Recently, we had the honor of meeting with leadership from Penn State University's School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Behrend Campus in Erie, PA. We are thrilled to announce that Saltwater Warriors has forged a strategic partnership with Penn State University . This collaboration marks a significant step towards scientifically validating our unique approach to using marine environments, or 'blue space,' in promoting mental health and rehabilitation.

Under this exciting new partnership, researchers from PSU-Behrend will undertake comprehensive studies to assess the effectiveness of marine settings in enhancing mental well-being, specifically among our nation's veterans. This project aims to provide a robust data-driven foundation for the therapeutic practices implemented by Saltwater Warriors.

Our goal is to substantiate through rigorous academic research the psychological impacts of these marine environments and refine our programs to maximize their efficacy. This ensures that the mental health benefits are not only substantial but also tailored to meet the needs of those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country.

Our mission at Saltwater Warriors has always been centered around the well-being of our nation’s veterans. Partnering with an esteemed institution like Penn State will enhance our ability to serve and support our heroes with evidence-based practices that honor their service and sacrifices."

Saltwater Warriors was the featured charity for the month of January at Honor Brewing Company in Loudoun County Virginia! Thanks to their entire crew and generous patrons we were presented with a check for $1200.92 today!

Each month Honor Brewing Company selects a nonprofit to highlight; donating 10% of the proceeds of their best-selling Classic Lager.

For January 2024 Saltwater Warriors is the grateful recipient and we couldn't be happier.

Saltwater Warriors Co-founder Michael Burns is a regular customer at Honor Brewing and he can personally attest to the high quality of the brews, food and staff!

If you live in Northern Virginia, please stop by and see for yourself. In the process you will be helping our veteran community on their road to mental wellness.

Saltwater Warriors staff will be onsite January 31, 2024 from 4-8pm to share more about our organization. We'd love to see you.

$120: Lunch on the boat for all 6 warriors
$250: One charter fishing trip for 1 warrior
$1,500: One charter fishing trip for 6 warriors and counselor
$3,000: One year of mental health counseling for 1 warrior
$18,000: A boat load of counseling (One year of counseling for 6 warriors)
$20,000: A full year of charter fishing trips serving 108 warriors
$300,000: 1 year of mental health counseling for all 108 warriors
