Caleb's Crusade Against Childhood Cancer ^ ^ Caleb’s Crusade continues to grow and prosper as we celebrate 6 years of serving children and their families with childhood cancer.

We have helped many families primarily in Southwest Florida with the financial challenges that come with their child being diagnosed with cancer. We also aim to raise awareness for childhood cancer which includes advocating for children with cancer both locally and in our nations capitol. We are particularly tenacious in making sure children have a voice in the competition for research dollars, and we won’t give up until a cure is found.

March 28, 2008 was the day you went away to heaven. We smile at most memories of you. We cry with the memories of your suffering and pain. We also mourn for the time we lost with you.
Who you’d be today is one of the toughest thought to deal with. Also all the milestones that you/we were never able to achieve and witness together. Our hearts break when we think of you on your birthday, when we are reminded of missing your graduation, first love, wedding, kids and success. We witness others achieve these and it brings us back to your memories every time.
We persevere through Gods strength and wisdom, as well as giving back. I feel very lucky that early on I got the advice, “it doesn’t get any better, you just get better at it”. This has carried me through the toughest of times. Your death cut us so deep it will never completely heal. I suppose we don’t want it to.
We are blessed to have and share your memory and knowing we will see you again someday. It’s difficult to comprehend that it has been 18 years gone now.

The House just passed my Mikaela Naylon Give Kids A Chance Act — again. I was honored to celebrate this milestone with many precious childhood cancer patients, survivors, and advocates. They are my biggest inspiration, and today we are one step closer to defeating childhood cancer once and for all!

I look forward to seeing the Senate finally pass this crucial bill to spur pediatric drug development and save kids' lives.
