Stockings for Kids

Stockings for Kids Stockings 4 Kids provides beautiful filled Christmas stockings to less fortunate children in Southwest Florida. Last year we had 15 toys in each stocking.

Now in our 8th year, Stockings 4 Kids plans to help more than 4,000 children enjoy the magic of Christmas with their own Christmas stockings. The stockings are filled by other children providing them with the opportunity to experience the value of helping someone less fortunate than themselves. Last year we had close to 100 children (elves) stuffing the stockings on “stuffing day.” The program cr

eates a memorable lasting experience for the elves. We reach out to the community raising funds to purchase the toys that will go into the stockings. They are beautiful stockings and bring great joy to all of the recipients. Each stocking costs $15 and all donations go 100% toward the cost of the stockings. We encourage sponsorship donations whenever possible, however, all donations make a difference and are appreciated

Our little elves are learning the importance of reaching out to help other children. They realize that for many children this may be their only present on Christmas day. They actually have the opportunity to experience the loving feeling of making a difference for another child. Each year, Santa’s Workshop is opened a few weeks before Christmas and our Elves stuff all the stockings. The stockings are delivered to 18 charities the following week with the assistance of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. We are partnered with the United Way of Lee County. This qualifies donations as a taxable deduction. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is a partner with Stockings 4 Kids. Deputies volunteer their time to join our elves on stuffing day at Santa’s Workshop. They also deliver all of the filled stockings to their locations. The elves love meeting deputies up close and personal. The deputies express their admiration to all of the elves for volunteering their time to help children less fortunate. They are also a Santa Sponsor. We have many companies who provide “in-kind services” for Stockings 4 Kids, allowing us to allocate 100% of all donations to the actual stockings.

During this unprecedented year our elves have been working hard to plan a special Christmas for 50 SWFL families and we are excited to announce Operation Christmas Care.
We hope to bring back Stickings for Kids next holiday season, but for this year we will be asking families to be a donor family to another. Thank you for your consideration.
