Because of your participation, we were able to bring our community together in celebration of freedom, health, unity, and wellness. Whether you ran, walked, volunteered, or cheered others on, you helped make the event a meaningful and memorable part of Juneteenth Celebration Weekend.

Juneteenth Freedom Run/Walk 5K Details

Thank you for registering for Freedom Run! Please see the attached route map for the run. We have also attached a road closure and detour map to help you navigate getting to the STARS Complex the morning of the run. It will be best to approach the STARS complex from Martin Luther King Jr Blvd based on the detour map. Park in the industrial area off of Prince St and walk across the street to the STARS Complex.

Please arrive by 7am so that you may have time to check in and stretch. We will begin at 7:30am. This is not an officially timed 5K event, but created with the intention to getting the community active and promoting wellness in a fun environment!

We have a few volunteer opportunities available. If anyone would like to volunteer, please send an inbox. We will give hours to high school students in need of community service to meet Bright Futures and/or graduation requirements.

Also, if you cannot participate, and would like to support, donations of any amount are being accepted. All proceeds go to the health access and community wellness education programs of Sozo Wellness Center.
