Tonight we proudly installed the 2026–2027 officers of the Zonta Club of Fort Myers. A heartfelt thank you to Area 6 Director Judy Langley for leading the installation ceremony and inspiring us as we begin a new year of service, leadership, and advocacy. This weekend I was reminded that Zonta is at its best when women come together to build something new.

I traveled to Nashville to celebrate the chartering of the Zonta Club of Nashville, with my daughter. Women from across District 11—leaders, members, and friends were in the room for one purpose: to welcome a new club into our Zonta family.

District 11 stretches across Florida, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, yet distance didn’t matter. What mattered was the shared belief that women working together can create meaningful change.

Every established club started exactly this way—with a handful of women willing to say yes. Yes to service. Yes to advocacy. Yes to leadership. Yes to making their community a little better for women than they found it.

Congratulations, Nashville. We are excited to welcome you to the journey

This Memorial Day weekend, Katherine Legge becomes the first woman to attempt racing’s legendary “Double” — the Indianapolis 500 and NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 on the same day. And just weeks ago, Cherie DeVaux made history as the first woman trainer to win the Kentucky Derby.

Different tracks. Different sports. Same message.

Women are not just entering arenas once dominated by men — they’re leading, breaking barriers, and rewriting the record books.

We’re excited to announce that Korri Clementson of Tito’s Cantina in Cape Coral will be joining us as the MC for Zonta Fort Myers’ Run for the Roses Derby event!

Korri brings the kind of energy, confidence, and local personality that can light up a room — exactly what we wanted for an evening filled with Derby flair, auction fun, and purpose.

Zonta Fort Myers was in the room today at the Area 6 Meeting — learning, connecting, and getting inspired. 💛

We heard from other Area 6 clubs, celebrated the excitement of a new Zonta club opening in Nashville, TN, learned about the CARE day care program, and cheered on the amazing high school Z Club in Punta Gorda.

And yes — the speakers were wonderful.
