One year ago, Lee Health Dialysis department reached out to Trish Trash to collaborate with on a Recycling project to present for their magnet status. The collection of the dialysis containers, which is a #2 plastic, like a milk jug, started January 2026. Today they have collected over 15,000 containers equally approximately 2630 lbs. which would have gone to the landfill or incineration. August 2026 Trish Trash collaborated with GulfCoast Medical Center’s pharmacy which have collected a mixture of cardboard, plastic, aluminum, and paper in the amount of 1,276 lbs. to date.
However, despite great strides towards our shared goal with Lee Health, Trish Trash has been unsuccessful in receiving adequate funds to continue our goal in Recycling. We would embrace any suggestions or opportunities to continue this amazing project!

About a month ago, Trish Trash worked the Fort Myers Boat Show! With the help of about 40 volunteers and around 15,000 attendees, we collected 820.8 lbs of aluminum cans and 286.75 lbs of plastic! Thanks to all of your help, these recyclables will avoid the landfill and be correctly recycled and repurposed!
