Coping skills are the way in which we deal with our emotions in a healthy, safe, and respectful way. The way in which we deal with our emotions is important to ourselves in those around us. We are better friends, partners, and parents when we regulate our emotions positively. During this era of COVID-19, it is important to take a moment and check the ways in which we are coping as our usual way of doing so may be unavailable. Here are specific coping skills to utilize during COVID-19 as we practice social distancing and self quarantining.

Physical coping skills help us find comfort physically when touch from others may not be available due to isolation.

Spiritual coping skills help us continue to grow closer to God with our hearts and minds when our physical place of worship is not accessible.

Mental coping skills help keep our mind engaged and prevent numbing of emotions.

Coping skills are always helpful but they are not the ultimate fix. Professional therapy may be needed to help you regulate serious emotions experienced at this time. WeCareMinistries is here for you and we love you!

WeCareMinistries, Inc. has a three plus decade history of serving the local community in times of disaster and need through counseling and crisis management. The reality is we all have some hurt, hang-up or habit we find hard to break. WeCareMinistries, Inc. is committed to providing compassionate, professional, faith-based clinical mental health care. Our therapists are Christian Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) in the state of FL. As Christian counselors, we are called to bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for the captive, and comfort those who mourn. We desire to be an extension of the local church, offering counsel to those going through a season of difficulty.

Our therapists at We Care Ministries are clinically trained to provide professional holistic care for those in need. Each therapist is licensed, insured, and maintains high standards of confidentiality and professional ethics.

Our therapists work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues. We provide services in a comfortable and supportive atmosphere on the church campus or in the comfort of your home.
