pulled from a kill pen. Both off the track Thoroughbred mares are pregnant, so not only 2 lives were saved but 4 were! We want all of their supporters and future supporters to be able to follow their progress with us! Thank you to everyone who has helped give them a second chance at life!

☀️🐴 Summer Camp 2026 - Week 1 Recap! 🐴☀️

What an amazing way to kick off our summer! From horse time and horsemanship lessons to tie-dye creations, scavenger hunts, pool fun, crafts, games, and plenty of laughter, this group kept us smiling all week long.

We are so thankful for each camper who joined us and helped make Week 1 such a special one. Watching friendships form, confidence grow, and memories being made is exactly why we do what we do.

A special shout-out to our camp counselors! ❤️ These incredible young people are part of our Kids Club program and are spending their summer taking turns serving, helping, mentoring, and encouraging our younger campers. Watching them step into leadership roles, lend a hand wherever needed, and give back to our barn family has been just as rewarding as the camp itself.

Thank you to all of our camp families for trusting us with your children. Week 1 is in the books, and if this week is any indication, Summer 2026 is going to be one for the memory books!

The barn was quiet, the moon shining bright,
As all of the horses settled in for the night.

Grace dreamed of campers with brushes in hand,
Dash dreamed of games and adventures so grand.
Gus dreamed of popsicles, treats, and some fun,
While Stormy imagined splash days in the sun.

Lexie dreamed of friendships, both old and new,
And Jiffy dreamed of all the fun things they'll do.

The horses slept soundly beneath the moon's glow,
Excited for morning and the campers they know.

For tomorrow brings laughter, learning, and play
And a summer of memories starting right away! 🐴☀️🍉💙

What a week... and what a year. ❤️

This week we wrapped up our final Jr. Equine Vet Explorer classes of the school year, watched the Graceful Growth/Parelli groups continue to grow and thrive, and spent time preparing for all the exciting summer programs that begin in just one week!

As we look ahead to summer and begin planning for our July 25th Open House and next year's classes, it's impossible not to look back and be amazed at how much growth has happened over the last year. The kids have grown, the horses have grown, our programs have grown, and honestly, so have we.

We are especially excited to be partnering with Centerstone this summer and continue to be in awe of the doors God keeps opening. There were so many moments this year that felt scary, uncertain, and bigger than us. Faith steps usually are. But time and time again, God has shown us that when we trust Him and keep moving forward, His plans are far greater than anything we could have imagined.

I didn't take many pictures this week (too busy enjoying all the moments, I guess 😊), but here's a few snapshots to represent a week full of learning, growth, connection, and gratitude.

What a busy, beautiful Saturday at the farm and we absolutely LOVE that. ❤️

Days like this remind us how special this little place truly is. From people coming out with fresh ideas to help things run even better, to new projects starting, volunteers jumping in for barn work, kids practicing Parelli, and groups from local organizations spending time with the horses… the farm was full of life all day long.

And we’re pretty sure every horse on the property got a bath today. 😂🐴

We also had Kids Club tonight, and even with a smaller group, these kids showed up with huge hearts. They worked hard putting together quite a few hospital kits for children facing long hospital stays. We’ll be continuing this service project a little longer, so if you’d still like to donate items or help support the project, there’s still time!

We wrapped up the evening making our A&K Summer Bucket Lists, and let’s just say… this summer is going to be FULL of fun, growth, horses, friendship, and memories. ☀️🐎

Thank you to everyone who continues to support, volunteer, encourage, and believe in what we’re building here at Animals & Kids. It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful for ours. ❤️

There are some people and organizations that God places in your journey from the very beginning, the ones who believe in the mission before anyone else fully sees the vision. Iglesia Pentecostal Peniel has been one of those blessings for us.

From the very start of Animals & Kids INC, they have stood beside us with love, encouragement, prayers, and support. Through every season of growth, struggle, faith, and perseverance, they have continued to pour into this mission and remind us that what we are doing matters.

We are so incredibly grateful and honored to be part of something they feel is worthy of their missions and giving. Because of hearts like theirs, children have found joy, horses have found healing, and this little dream God planted years ago has continued to grow into something far bigger than we ever imagined.

Thank you Pastor Ruth for believing in us, loving on this community, and helping us continue this work. We pray God richly blesses your church, your families, and every hand and heart that pours into His work. We love and appreciate you all so much. ❤️

Our Kids Clubbers are already starting to bring in supplies for this month’s service project, hospital comfort kits for children in long-term care ❤️
What makes this even more special is that many of these kids used their OWN money to shop for items to help other children they’ve never even met.

This is what Kids Club is all about… teaching our youth that even small acts of kindness can make a huge difference. Watching these kids grow hearts for serving others has been such a blessing.

We would LOVE the community’s help as we continue collecting NEW items for the kits! Things like coloring books, small toys, crafts, journals, fuzzy socks, card games, stickers, blankets, and travel-size hygiene items are all appreciated.

If you’d like to donate items or help sponsor supplies, please message us! Together we can remind these children that they are loved, seen, and not alone. ❤️
