Love Your Rebellion

Love Your Rebellion is a SWFL based 501c3 that empowers marginalized groups through the arts.

Love Your Rebellion’s goal is to empower marginalized groups through the arts, including women, immigrants, people of color, people from q***r and trans communities, people from low-income communities, and people with disabilities. We want to provide artists, musicians, and writers from the aforementioned marginalized groups with opportunities in live performance, publication, exhibition, and educ

ation that include payment, exposure, and support. These broader goals are reached through LYR’s main objectives to employ musicians and artists from marginalized groups in the arts; discover artists, writers, and musicians from marginalized groups by increasing their exposure; and assist people from marginalized groups via low cost or free access to music, art, writing, and therapeutic arts. Love Your Rebellion's Zine Library hosts more than 150 zines at Neenie's House in East Fort Myers. LYR's Zine Library is open for events and features a cafe, plus free wifi. Additional LYR programming includes a biannual therapeutic and literary arts zine, music and art events, and arts education opportunities.

This Friday, June 19th from 4-7pm experience The Art of Becoming with Jason Teeters Jet Set State 🌱

In the first workshop from the Summer of Love Your Rebellion series, Jason shares what nature reveals about growth, change, and human potential 🌻

Growth is rarely linear. Change is rarely comfortable. Yet nature shows us that both are essential parts of becoming.

This experience invites participants to explore leadership through the lens of living systems, uncovering how nature’s patterns can help us navigate complexity, build resilience, and reimagine what’s possible for ourselves, our teams, and our organizations.

Together, we’ll explore how to move from reaction to intention, from uncertainty to possibility, and from simply surviving change to growing through it.
You’ll learn how to:
• Respond to change with greater confidence
• Recognize opportunities hidden inside challenges
• Build stronger relationships and collaboration
• Think more creatively when solutions aren’t obvious
• Use nature’s patterns to guide better decisions

Announcing “Resist” a group art show that speaks truth to power ✊ Submit original art work from 6/8 - 8/8 inspired by the prompt, created by the show’s curator, Danielle Branchaud

“For centuries artists have used their skills to speak truth to power or reflect the current state of the world as they perceive it, all while working through the frustration - bearing with a society in need of balance and progression - or rebelling against the status quo. Processing current events in this way is vital - not just on an individual level but for all to absorb and contemplate, provoking conversations that are so often needed. For this show, artists are invited to create works that respond to current events – social, political, environmental or global – but most of all, we ask artists to consider this question: how can you use art as a form of resistance?”

Take part in Letters to the Incarcerated on Saturday, 6/13 at the Rebel 📝

This free event encourages participants to write letters to U.S. political prisoners. All materials needed to write and mail letters will be provided, as well as information on what can be included in letters to incarcerated people. Information on a number of selected political prisoners will be provided, but you are free to write to anyone you wish!
