Dear Friends of Janet,

Well, here we are again. Another year has flown by and the 2023 Holiday Giving season is here. I apologize for being so late with this year’s FOJ Fund appeal. It’s been quite a year for many people here, especially along the coastal areas. We were fortunate enough to be able to recover from Hurricane Ian’s devastation after a four foot storm surge and nearly two weeks of mold and mildew destroyed nearly everything we owned in our little rental house on Pine Island. We recently bought a house in Ft. Myers off McGregor Boulevard and started over again. Sadly, many people have not been as fortunate as we were.
The FOJ fund is going to team up with Goodwill again this year for their annual Festival of Trees to help spread the word about the FOJ fundraising efforts to honor Janet and her sister. The outpouring of help to storm victims has been awe inspiring, but there’s still work to do. Once we get an idea of where the greatest need is, we’ll decide on how to divvy up the money in the fund. Right now, I believe we have a balance of about $1500. Anything you can spare will go a long way to help those in need this year.

Please support this in memory of Janet and Ann. Please remember we have a fund at the Collaboratory that you can always donate money to. Once a year the trustees meet and do disbursements in Janet and Ann’s memory to organizations that provide toys for children who need a good Christmas

Good morning.
I hope this message finds you all safe and healthy. Our dear friend Karin Holly just posted a birthday wish on FB for Janet Wilson today. I thought this might be a good time to remind everyone that we are entering the holiday giving season. Has a year already gone by? It does not seem possible. Anyway, I wanted to pass along a gentle reminder to everyone to keep Janet and her sister Ann’s legacy of giving alive again this year. Any donation to the FOJ Fund will be deeply appreciated by the organizations and/or individuals we select to receive a share of the donations, hopefully before Christmas.
This is the time of year when Janet’s heart touched so many people, especially kids. Our aim is to continue that tradition.
